Basics

Account types

Advisible supports four types of accounts: Producers, Publishers, Advertisers, and Controllers. Each account type has a distinct role in the platform’s ecosystem.

Producer

Producers create and manage ad campaigns. This is the only account type that can own campaigns. If you're a media buyer—such as an agency or a standalone advertiser—you'll need a producer account to launch campaigns. Producers gain access to publisher inventory via networks.

Publisher

Publishers own and manage inventory. A publisher account is required to define inventory, typically representing a single website owned by the organization. Each publisher can create placements, which are specific content surfaces (e.g., banner slots or in-feed widgets) that producers can fill with campaigns via network connections.

Advertiser

Advertisers represent brands. These accounts define a brand identity within Advisible. An organization can create an advertiser account and allow external producers (e.g., agencies) to run campaigns on behalf of the brand. This setup enables centralized brand control, unified analytics, and collaboration with multiple producers.

Controller

Controllers manage multiple publisher accounts. Organizations with several websites can use a controller to monitor and approve campaigns across all associated publishers, and access unified analytics.
