Testing

Advisible provides test ads that can be used to verify a native ad integration and ensure that ads are being requested and displayed properly. Test ads are global creatives that can be accessed using the preview functionality.

Query parameter

The structure of the adk_preview query parameter for test ads is:

global:code[-language]@adapterId[:sourceId][!maxItems]

code - tells the system which test ad to load. Available codes are:

• generate - a standard test ad with generated content.
• video - a test ad that includes a video creative (if the placement supports video).
• article - returns an article that includes all supported body elements, which can be used to verify article body styling. Only valid for True Native scroll articles and landing page.

language (optional) - tells the system which language to use for the test ad. The following languages are supported:

• lorem - Lorem ipsum placeholder text (default)
• en - English
• sv - Swedish

adapterId - specifies the adapter to use for rendering the test ads. Available internal adapters are:

• com.advisible.native.teaser - True Native teasers
• com.advisible.native.article - True Native articles
• com.advisible.content-display - Content Display teasers

sourceId - (optional) specifies the placement source of the test ad. If not provided, the default source for the adapter will be used.

maxItems - (optional) limits the number of items returned in placements that support multiple items, such as group containers. If not specified, all available items will be returned. Prefix the number with ! to set a soft limit that respects the source setting, or !! to set a hard limit that forces the number of delivered items to the limit.

If the placement is configured to allow video, you can test them by replacing generate with video, for example:
